It began with a magical library in flames… How will it end?

Well, that depends on the spellbook they saved.

As a librarian, Lydia knows her chosen profession is fraught with danger. When she discovers a book that could change the world forever, her elation is short-lived. Just minutes later, she’s running for her life.

When an ancient spell book tries to help, Lydia and apprentice Rose are catapulted through a rip in time, landing in 1841 amidst a community of powerful Victorian witches. But where there are witches, there are witch finders – and Silas Thorne has dedicated his life to eradicating magic in all its forms.

While Lydia searches for a way home to 1960, desperate to get the Book of Prophecy to safety, Rose discovers that, sometimes, love can defy even time itself. Will Lydia and Rose change history – or be lost to it?

The Magic Keepers is a standalone Ethereal World prequel to the duology, The First Ethereal and The Blessing of Crows, and is perfect for fans of Sarah Painter, Alice Hoffman and Lindsey Kelk.

Another gripping story

As I've come to expect from the Ethereal series, this is a wonderfully fantastical story with impossible-to-predict twists and turns. I loved the way the characters experienced the different time periods, and of course the danger they face in each time. Such a fun book to read, I just wish it didn't have to end!
