How To Help The Butterfly Witch Fly

It's hard to believe, but The Butterfly Witch lands in just two weeks. Two years and nine months after Gwenllian Llewellyn, cello in hand, strolled into my imagination on a cold and rainy January afternoon, she's finally ready to take flight.

I'm touched that so many people have asked how they can help support the launch. Below I've gathered ideas, from pre-orders to spreading the word. Every little bit helps and I am so grateful for your kindness and encouragement.

How to Support the Launch

Pre-order the Book

The Butterfly Witch will be available worldwide from 4 September 2025 in eBook and paperback. Here are the best ways to order, listed by the level of royalties I receive:

1. My Website

   • eBooks delivered globally by Bookfunnel. Compatible with Kindle and all eReaders.

   • Signed paperbacks available in the UK.

   • Paperbacks also available in the US, Canada and Australia, printed locally (unsigned).
     
     

2. Amazon

   • eBooks and paperbacks.

   • Please note: royalties on Amazon paperback sales are around £0.60 (I know! 😖) 
     
     

3. Libraries

   • You can borrow my books from your local library in print or eBook. You may need to place an order, but I receive a small payment every time the book is borrowed. 
     

4. Bookshops

   • You can order paperbacks through bookshops anywhere in the world.

Let's Eat Cake!

I've not been great at book launches in the past. Ethereal's debut was on Zoom during the pandemic, I all but flung Crows into the world and dashed back to my desk, and Keepers coincided with organising Bracknell Book Fair.

This time, I am making up for it! There will be real, in-person gatherings. I want to have some fun, make memories and yes, eat cake!

  • And please know that short and sweet is more than fine! In fact, they help readers who scan reviews rather than deep dive into lots of detail. Reviews are largely about numbers so please don't worry about writing War and Peace.
